Advertisments in Tokyo

Advertising in Tokyo are everywhere more than in Paris or in London and such as New York.

For example, as you can see on my pictures, advertisments are in the street, above the street and on the special bus and in your pocket with some free kleenex. All of these adds are very impressive

But, in my opinion, too many messages have sent to Japanese and the brand's communication cannot be clear and cannot reach directly who is the target. It is a mass advertising.

Yebisu: Beer of God!

Yebisu is a Japanese god, which symbolizes the Fortune.

This Japanese god brings the wealth of the sea or from other outside world. It still takes a bream, which is a luxury fish in Japan, as a symbol of happiness and luxury.

And in Japan, the Premium Yebisu beer means supreme. It does not use ingredients except malt. Yebisu premium and Yebisu brown are very aromatic and very good for person who like beer. Despite it is a bit expensive, many Japanese love Yebisu well as that!

The Japanese communication of this brand means Yebisu is a favor of God...!

Paul Bocuse in Tokyo

Last weekend I wanted to go to the new museum of contemporary art at Nogizaka, but I was suprising because it appears that the Brasserie of Paul Bocuse attracts more people than exhibitions!
So, like everybody, I prefered to have lunch in a restaurant of a very famous french cooker Paul Bocuse.

In fact, you will wait only a few minutes to enter in the museum against two-hour queue of waiting for the famous French restaurant. However, the restaurant offers only 182 seats against the vast exhibition space of the museum.
The atmosphere is light and pleasant, it must be said that the decor is impressive, but in circles as you can see in the picture above. In fact, the atmosphere looks like a factory with too much excitation of the crowd. Every customer is impressed and wants to discover the quality of the French food.

Moreover, with the museum around the restaurant and the number too important of persons, the noise surrounding is very high. The lunch menu is very reasonable: two menus including one with 1800 yen + entree or dessert and another dish (entree and dessert dish +) for 2500 yen. For this price, duck, lamb, short arsenal of French cuisine that is found naturally more easily in restaurant than in Tokyo supermarkets.
Not very original but effective.
The restaurant is not bad even for French! Certainly, the creme brulee is a must, however waffles would rather avoid ...

Better to wait a bit if you're really hungry and especially before testing that location, less than a book (I do not know if they take reservations for lunch) but in a few weeks time, this is probably good idea for a lunch that changes, if you're like me, visiting the museum or if you are around.

The Biggest Fish Market in the world

Tsukiji Market is the biggest fish market around the world and I have been there...

6:00 AM, after a good party in a night club with my friends, we decided to have the best breakfast of sushis in Japan . Therefore, we went to Tsukiji market: the wholesaler fish market.
You can believe me, it was amazing and for sure I will go back before I am leaving Tokyo.
In spite of we were tired, we arrived and we were so excited by what we have seen.
Pictures could describe better than me what happened in this place. The tunafish bid is very impressive and unique in the world.
To finish, we went to a small sushis restaurant around the fish market and it was so delicious, the best sushis I have never eaten that I would advice you to go in very quickly if you have the moment!

The @ Super Suits Store

Still in Shibuya during my visit, I found a very interesting concept shop called the @ super suits store.
The concept of this brand is: Find good quality ladies’ and men’s suits and accessories here for reasonable prices.
As you can see, it is an entire building where you can find whatever you want if you are looking for a suit. The prices are not very expensive and there are a lot of choices of clothes for men and women.
Nowadays, I think in Japan where the culture of work is dominant, this kind of brand could be popular because a lot of Japanese are wearing suits at work.
Although, in France, French don’t necessary wear those. That's why I don't know if this concept will be a success in my home country...

Beard's Papa: Tasty Chou à la Crème!

Today, I was in the area of Shibuya to make some shopping, when I smelt a delicious scent of bakeries... I was looking for what it was and I found Beard's Papa.
I didn’t know this brand but it looked like famous and much appreciated in Tokyo because there was a lot of people who made the queue and waiting for cream puffs.
Among this point, I knew that it was an assignment for me to taste it.So I have been waiting for 20 minutes for hot cream puffs and you can believe me it was marvelous.
You have different choice of flavors (chocolate, vanilla, pistachio...). And prices were from 160 ¥ to 180 ¥ a piece like a doughnuts of Krispry Kreme.
But as you can see on the pictures, the marketing of this brand is good because it gives customers desire with the transparency of the shop and the view of cream puffs in the oven.

More than that, the smell in the street is so irresistible that you don't have the choice, you have to make a stop to take one.
